Blogging As A Marketing Tool

The term Blog actually derives from web log. It is an online website made in a journal style. It allows other readers the opportunity to post comments and links back to their own blogs. Blogs are updated regularly and the term blogging is the process of updating the blog. The person doing the updates is called a blogger.

Traditionally blogging is used as a virtual online diary where the bloggers share their own personal information and views. Recently there is a change in trend where it is used as a platform to promote their internet business and other websites. Blogging is a sure fire method to increase the visibility of various products and services.

Blogging Tips

1) Offer free advice and give valuable tips to your visitors. Showcase other opportunities that are related to your business. Always aim to give more than to receive. The main objective is to increase your web presence throughout the whole internet community. This will then make you an authority in your chosen niche and increase your credibility of your business which will eventually lead to higher sales.

2) Allow and encourage your readers to post comments and give feedbacks. Promote interaction between the readers and yourself. These will be very helpful as it will encourage more traffic and visitors to your website. Treat the feedback given by the readers seriously and use it to improve your website design, layouts and content.

3) Post regularly in your blog. At least twice a week and that is a minimum. Always make your blog fresh and up to date. In this manner, search engines will include your website in their directory listings. If you blog is listed with different search engines, you will start to have increased traffic for free.

When your visitors revisit and they see old content, they will get bored and not come back again. Blogging platform like Wordpress will automatically keep your old postings inside the Archives and Monthly sections. Visitors can then do a search and retrieve your old postings.

4) Allow others to reprint your articles that you had written to be posted on other websites. However they need to seek your permission first and they also need to agree to post with your resource box and all URLs intact. This will give you more links and thus enhances exposure to your blog.

5) You can collaborate with other webmasters to exchange links if you all have similar content. This will help to improve your search engine rankings. A very important thing to note is not to participate in link farms.

6) Have some form of advertising through banners and affiliate links. This will allow you to earn extra income. An example of an affiliate program is Google Adsense.

Blogging is a simple yet effective method to create content for your website. You do not need to know sophisticated web authoring tools to start. As this is your own blog, you can write anything you wish e.g. personal opinions, ideas, topics of interest, pictures and even videos. You can also use blogs to broadcast important news and events. Just make sure that your blog is interesting and clear and you will have your visitors returning daily.

Use Affiliate Marketing To Reduce Costs

It is one of the methods of Internet advertising that rewards you who refer customers to the advertiser’s website. How does affiliate marketing work?  Firstly you will need to sign up for an affiliate account with the advertiser. You will then be given your own unique affiliate link and some banners as well. You will insert your banners or affiliate links to your own website. When your visitor clicks on your links, and signed up for the program subsequently, you will get paid.

1. Low Cost and Risk
You do not have to spend much on advertisements. You can concentrate on just creating your product and the sales copy. Send them to your affiliates and they will do the advertising for you. You pay your affiliates commissions only for the sales that they made. With lower expenditure, your cash flow is improved and risks reduced. You will be in much better position to weather any storms you will face in your business.

2. Unlimited Income Through Leverage
When you are working nine to five, you are only paid for that amount of time spent at work. And since we only have 24 hours a day, there is a limit to the salary that we you can earn. With a group of affiliates working for you, you have them working 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, making sales and referrals to you. Your income will therefore be limitless. This is called leveraging. Your business will be running non stop and so does your profits.

3. Expand Overseas
You are just not limited to your own geographical area. You have a global marketplace as your customer base. With the power of the Internet and current Web 2.0 technologies, your customer base will be expanded to almost everyone who has an internet connection and who are interested in your products. All that you need to do is to prepare the required marketing tools for your affiliates to use so as to bring customers to you.

Overall if you want to have a relatively cheap and effectively way to promote your business, use Affiliate Marketing as part of your arsenal of tools.

Four Easy Viral Marketing Methods

Viral Marketing is a marketing approach whereby your visitors help to promote your website using their own efforts. How to kick start your viral marketing campaign?

1) Buy The Branding Rights
This is the easiest method. Give the e-Book away to your visitors for free, and allow them to do so as well. And this process repeats itself. You can change various information like author names, websites and contact information as your own. One very important thing to note is that you need to give an e-book that is of value to your visitor. This will entice them to resend out your e-book to their friends as well.

2) Create Templates
If you have good web design and programming skills, you might want to consider create templates for your visitors to download and use. For example, you can create Themes and Plugins for the popular Wordpress blogging platform. Make it assessable for your visitors and their friends to download them for their personal usage. You can add in a link back to your site in the footer area of the Wordpress theme file. Do remember to include a copyright notice and make it mandatory that it is not to be removed without your prior consent.

3) Write Your Own E-Book
This strategy is very similar to the first tactic. The main difference is that you research, write, compile and create your own E-Book. You will need to spend some time on this. You can also allow your Joint Venture partners to place their advertisements inside your e-books. This way, your partners will also actively help to promote your E-Book as well.  Make it a win - win situation for all whom are involved.

4) Write Articles
Author articles that are relevant to your product or service that you are selling. Allow other publishers to reprint your article into their own websites, blogs, ezines, newsletters or e-books. They will also have to accept including your resource box together with the article as well.

Viral Marketing is a very low cost and yet very effective way to promote your website. When used properly, Viral Marketing can also increase your sales. So what are you waiting for?

Why Google Adsense is Crucial For Your Sites

The concept is actually simple, if you think of it. The publisher or the Webmaster puts in a java script into a certain website. For each one time the page is accessed, the java script will draw in advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are directed should therefore be associated to the content that is contained on the web page dishing out the advertisement. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the Webmaster serving the ad garners a percentage of the income that the advertiser is paying the search engine (Google) for the click.

Google is the one managing all the tracking and payments, allowing for an easy way for webmasters to show content-sensitive and directed ads without having the hassle to woo advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming chore in itself. It appears that there is never a shortfall of advertisers in the platform from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. In addition to webmasters are to a lesser extent concerned by the lack of data search engines are catering and are more centered in attaining income from these search engines.

The foremost reason why Adsense is indispensable for content sites is because it already has advanced ways in understanding the demands of publishers and webmasters. In collaboration with its uninterrupted progression is the appearance of more forward-looking system that allows for full advertisement customization. Webmasters are handed the opportunity to decide from numerous different types of text ad formats to more effectively complement their internet site and conform to their webpage set up.

The different formatting enables the web site owners the possibility of additional click through from visitors who may or may not be mindful of what they are clicking on. It may as well attract to the people visiting hence make them adopt that next step of looking up what it is all about. This means the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.

The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not just how their sites are advancing but as well the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines allows webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing utilizing customizable reports that has the capability to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track particular ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are likewise easily spotted.

With the real-time reporting close at hand, the potency of the modifications made will be evaluated promptly. There would be time to straighten out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The changing needs would be met while yielding cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible instruments are also allowing webmasters to group cyberspace pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will cater them, some precise insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing most effectively.

The concluding reason is that the advertisers have recognized the benefits associated by having their ads displayed on targeted websites. Thus increasing the hypothesis that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its frequent updates. As contrary to those who are not using Adsense in their sites, they are granted the alternative of having others do their content for them, bringing about the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.

Adsense is all about targeted content, the more focused your content is, the more effective the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are centered more on their site contents and how most effectively to maintain them instead of the cash that the ads will yield for them. This is the component where the effectiveness is working its fullest.

There was a time when people were not yet mindful of the income to be attained from advertisements. The cash generated only amounted into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they could establish Adsense as that source. In those days, the content were the most significant factors that are taken rather earnestly. It still is. With the allure of money, naturally.
